Evidence

To help you decide which software might be relevant to your business, each entry in the CFIHOS Software Conformance Database will:

  • identify the company and software
  • state the CFIHOS version that conformance is claimed for
  • specify the CFIHOS conformance area categories that the software supports
  • classify the software, including its purpose and how it is deployed
  • provide the date when the evidence was submitted
  • allow an evidence pack to be downloaded

This evidence pack is a ZIP archive containing:

  • a conformance statement from the software supplier, specific to this CFIHOS version
  • any additional documents or images referenced by the conformance statement

The conformance statement contains a sheet for every category of the CFIHOS business process that software can conform to. Each sheet:

  • describes the key business objectives which the software should meet
  • has a Yes / No area to indicate conformance with the category
  • may list software applications / modules that are relevant
  • if conformance is claimed, states how the software can be used to meet the business objectives of the category
  • will reference any other files in the pack that provide evidence for this (e.g. filenames for videos, presentations etc.)
  • references parts of the CFIHOS narrative documentation that contain additional information

As there is a 50Mb size limit for the evidence pack, any videos or large files should be hosted elsewhere with links provided in the pack or general submission text.

Submissions

Any CFIHOS member can submit evidence to show how their software conforms to the CFIHOS business process (you do not need to be a software vendor).

To do this for your own software, please contact the Software Vendor Team by sending an email to [email protected] with the subject “Software Vendor Conformance: (company name)”.

You will be provided with a template for the conformance statement document, and guidance notes for how to complete it. When you are ready, you can submit the data for your database entry through our form.

Your submission will not be immediately listed in the software conformance database but will be picked up by the next meeting of the software vendor team and scheduled for processing.

The submission will be screened for data consistency (for example, to make sure listed files are present in the evidence pack) but you are ultimately responsible for its content.

If you need to amend or withdraw an entry, simply email your request to [email protected] using the subject ‘Update Software Vendor Conformance: (company name)’.
